Why nothing is uploaded
Most file converters send your photo or document to their server, convert it there and send it back. That's why they have file limits, daily quotas and queues: every file costs them server time. Here the work happens in your browser, on your device, with the same open-source image and PDF engines that big apps use. Your files are never sent anywhere, so there's nothing to limit.
You don't have to take our word for it. Open a tool, switch on airplane mode, and convert a file: it still works. How to check it, and what this site can't promise.
What this site doesn't do
- No Word, Excel or PowerPoint conversions. Turning Office files into PDFs well needs Office or a server. We'd rather not do it than do it badly.
- No AI upscaling or background removal yet. They need large models; we'll only add them if they run well on a phone.
- Very large files depend on your device. A desktop handles hundreds of photos; an older phone may run out of memory on huge batches. Doing them in smaller groups helps.
